Sample Vacant Lot Survey with Trees and Elevations
This is an a example of a typical survey which is required for building purposes. This survey is a boundary survey of a lot in a subdivision. Requirements vary by county and city. In this case, we performed a typical boundary survey by finding or setting all the property corners and tying the survey into a plat PRM (permanent reference monument) or PCP (permanent control point). We also located trees (shown as squares near the rear of the lot, with the sizes noted) and observed elevations at the four lot corners and at the center of the lot. Finally, we showed any plat easements which would effect the lot for building purposes.
