Sample Boundary Survey

This is an example of a survey which is typically required for buying/selling or refinancing property.  This is a typical boundary survey which shows the property boundary, property corner monumentation, buildings, other improvements (sidewalks, driveways, etc.), plat easements, adjacent property information, and property line occupation (fences, sidewalks, etc.).  The final map also included a title block, legend and legal description, which was cut for speed of page loading.  These surveys are typically required by banks.  Lenders want to see what they are financing and if there are any encroachments or other defects which may effect land ownership and title.  It is recommended that all buyers ask for a survey and checks it over very carefully before buying a parcel, even if the buyer is not financing the purchase through a bank.  There are many issues which may adversely effect property which may only come to light after a complete and thorough boundary survey.
