Past Projects
We offer a wide range of utility locating services from vacuum utility excavates to electronic designates to ground penetrating radar for designating horizontally. We currently employ 8 full-time employees and run 3-crews. Our scope of work includes large road improvement jobs, pre-directional drill investigations, and also private locates for site developers, property management companies, mobile homes parks, and municipalities. We have listed examples of work that we have recently preformed that generally describe the broad range of services that we provide.
Gulf Blvd, Pinellas County - Project: HDR Engineering – FDOT District VII S.R. 699 (Park to Walsingham) - Locate all utilities with electronics and GPR - Project length 2.6 miles. Approximately 400 vacuum locates at conflict points with proposed drainage.
Macdill AFB - URS Group, Inc. - Project: Repair / Alter Primary Base Roads & Parking Lots (Hillsborough Loop Drive and Cross Streets) - Designate all utilities, perform 58 vacuum locates at conflict points, survey, and plot electronically on construction drawings.
Race Track Road - HDR Engineering - Project: (Linebaugh to South Mobley Rd) - Locate all utilities with electronics and GPR - Project length 4+ miles. Approximately 415 vacuum locates at conflict points with proposed drainage.
Countyline Road, Hernando Co. - Wade Trim - Project: CR 578 / County Line Road From Mariner Blvd. to the Suncoast Parkway - Designate all Verizon facilities for 21,500 LF for survey and placement on CADD files for conflict analysis.
Tyrone Square Mall - Progress Energy - Project: Utility Investigation for proposed locations of directional drill and proposed poles - Designate all utilities, perform 28 vacuum locates at conflict points with Progress Energy underground utility placement. Designates were used to make utility as-built records for the mall.
Pinellas / Pasco County – Progress Energy - Project: Private Locates- to include ground penetrating radar in mobile home parks, apartment complexes and other areas that Call sunshine does not respond. Vacuum locates under pavement for conflict with directional drill for street light retrenches and primary power placement. Ongoing since 2000.
